Here is my reflection on the brain science we did at school.

Today The Being brainy company came to our school and taught us about the different sizes of the brain, different parts and what they are for.

We also saw a cat's brain, rats brain and human brain, the cats and rats brain were frozen and polished because if they weren't then they would be squishy and disintegrate, there was also a rat's brain that was in water because it hadn't been polished.

We learnt about what the different parts of the brain are and what they are for eg, the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body.

We also did an activity and there was a mirror and we had to look in it to trace a star without looking at the paper, then we had to try to write our name looking in the mirror and not from memory.

Then we had to do a task and we had a coat on with buttons and we had to try and button it up with our hand we don’t write with and we had to do that in 2 minutes, it was very stressful but I only did one button up.

Overall I thought it was a great experience and I learnt a lot from it.

  1. Hi Jade. I think that the Being Brainy was a cool thing to put up on your blog. I like that you said that you learned about the different parts of the brain but maybe you could add some more paragraphs. Anais
