Here is my measurement reflection.

 Measurement Reflection -

My strengths

Well I personally think Reading scales,Reading temperature and estimating and converting between measurements because I got them all right on both tests. 

Goals

My goal is probably still calculating area but I have gotten much better at that than the first test. On the first test I got 0/4 but on the second test I got 2/4 and I am much happier. 

What helped me

I think attending all the workshops on my goal/s improved my learning much more, the workshops I attended were Area and Perimeter and Calculating volume. The mathletics tasks also helped me.

Preparing

I think all I need to prepare is Calculating Volume because I don't want to be learning that next year at gisint so I want it to be packed down at the highest I can get it so I am certain I get 100%.

What the teachers did well in, and what they need to work on

Well in my opinion I thought Mr S workshop was  too simple because I went there because I already knew how to do it but I wanted it at its highest, but on the other hand I didn't really understand Mr K workshop because he was going quite fast but I did pick up a bit of knowledge from the workshop, but I would of liked a smaller group to be doing it so I could get 1 on 1. But overall it was pretty great 

Conclusion

I hope you now know my goals and strengths.

 Writing Lesson May 17th - Procedural writing. 

Pet Sitting

Purpose: To write instructions for a pet-sitter. 

My Writing goal is: My goal is to add a hook in the beginning. 

Success Criteria

Say my sentences before writing Leave spaces between words Write all the sounds I can hear in words	Write a title List the equipment Write clear instructions	Write a title. List the equipment Write clear instructions which explain exactly what to do and when.  Use precise vocabulary.

How to look after Rosa. 

Here's how to look after my cute fluffy, feisty fluff ball cat called Rosa. 

Equipment and material needed: 

1 Cat food. 

2 Water.

3 Bowl.

4 Brush. 

5 Sashay.

6 Cat litter.

1. Firstly try to find Rosa and make sure she is ok ( she is probably lying in the sun on the tiles asleep), once you find her, get the gray cat brush and lightly brush all the loose fur off of her. 

2. Once you have done that fill 1 of the little bowls on her yellow food bowl up to the top,the nuts will be up on the top white shelf,  while she is eating if her water bowl isn't full enough tip the old water down the sink and fill it up ⅞ of the way with refreshing cold water so it can lasts her for a couple of days. 

3. While she finishes her nuts you can give her a sashay which is found in the long white cupboard, she likes every flavor in the box so don't be worried if she won't like it. 

4. If the cat litter has been used for 2-4 days, scoop out the old litter and pour it in the bin, once you have done that refill the box ½ of the way with the lavender colored litter which is located in the white cupboard (where the sashays are.)

5. Some nights she might have a cat fight so in the morning check if she has any scratches and make sure she is still happy, if she isn't make sure the cat/dog is not still on the property.

6. Thats it have fun!

My Weekly Reflection for Week 8

What I learned this week was: How to do a decimal order a lot easier. 

In Maths was how to order a decimal line from ones.tenths.hundreds.thousands

In Spelling how to spell 2 more long ´i´ sounds, one of them were kaleidoscope. 

Thinking about our value of responsibility, this is how I’ve been responsible this week.  

My next steps are to do a bit more of mathletics and steps, but also to get to the mat a bit faster. 

My person who I think has been the most responsible this week is Pippa H for stepping stepping up and doing the right amount of steps and mathletics.

The Life of Henry Williams.

Henry Williams was born on the 11th of February 1792 he was the fifth Child of his Family and their third son, before he was born there were 2 boys and 2 girls. When time passed he had eight siblings. Imagine having all of those siblings growing up since he had that many siblings and pretty strict parents and rules he had to learn how to lie and be quite stubborn for his own good. 

Henry Williams grew up in a pretty rich family, He had a great education and he learnt how to speak more than 2 languages when he was young.

When he was growing up he had 9 other siblings he was living with.

Once he was 14 he went to the Navy for nearly 10 years working till the dawn of the dust each day every day training until you puke, doing that  for 10 years or your life. He would have to do exactly what he was told or he would get whipped with the belt, but it was probably with it because he would get paid with thousands of dollars each day for working, well that's what he did.                                             

Once he was the translator the treaty was made.

Not long after that he traveled round all of New Zealand in a ship for over a year getting people to sign the treaty,  with blood boiling meat thirst pirates travelling around you in circles trying to hunt you down and murder you. 

Later on in his life he found his wife Marianne, and they then had 10 kids running around wanting as much attention as they could get!

When he got older he started to be a translator for James Busby, all of the English used to call him four eyes (because he had spectacles.)

Once he was a translator as his Job James Busby got sick and he had a heart race as fast as a flash, so he struggled to get to each and every meeting he had about complaints and what they wanted  about the treaty, 

What Henry really liked was tabako, that was his favorite part of his Job getting which is getting tabako. (Tabako is something like cigarettes.) That's what all of the Maori and English used to have. 

He was a great guy Once he got older he got quite sick and died on 16th July 1867. 

My math reflection.

 My Maths Reflection on Learning in Statistics

What I’ve got better at or improved upon. 

I now know that I am a lot better bar graphs and line graphs. 

I also learnt how to make an even game with the dice and decide the probability if what number it will land, on the dice.

What I still need to work on:

I need to work on probability and different chances, I will improve it by going onto mathletics and go on those activities.

What I enjoyed and what could be better. 

I think what helped me be better at these skills was probably the number spinner and the Math Kahoots.

Who am I?

Who am I?

I have caramel colored hair, not too long but not too short. I am quite tall for my age. My eyes are ocean blue. I want to be a painter when I am older. My favorite color is teal blue.

I have one cat. I have been to Australia twice. The beach is my favorite place to go and I love surfing and painting. 

I am a year Six.

Year 4 presentation!

 On Tuesday the year 6's went to the orientation day and the year 4' s came into the HUB 😚. 

Mr S picked a year 4 so we can show them around and tell them the rules . 

Me and Sophie Foss were buddy's and we had Pippa Brown as our year 4. 

At the start you could choose to have a buddy or do it single, I had a buddy we made a slide show about all of the rules around the HUB so she could understand more. 

One of our tasks was to explain to the year 4´s how to play dodge ball because we were going to have a game with them after.  

After we showed Pippa what and what not to do we played a Kahoot, We made a kahoot about the values and the rules to see if she had listened. 

Once we finished that we played a game of  Dodge Ball⭐!!!

First it was year 5 girls and year 4 boys vs the year 5 boys and the year 4 girls. 

The first score was 2/1 to the first team. 

The next round we played was boys vs girls, the score was 2/1 to the boys ( the girls got to choose some boys because it was uneven. 

Once we played that the year 4´ s  it was time for them to play swimming.
